See I don’t think everyone realizes this, but Korra’s bending here equates to her overpowering the, what, dozen or so Metalbending police officers manipulating these platforms?
She overpowers them and rips this Earth out of their control and lowers it back to the ground.
i know it seems like her and everyone elses bending is weak but just look at this. mako and bolins bending is definitely weaker than hers, or really just not developed to her power because well they dont need it to be, theyre pro benders not the avatar.

I was also wincing at this part. I love Korra because she is brash and loud and ungentle, but at this part I was hoping don’t hurt them don’t hurt them
but not only did she lower the platforms
they landed evenly, perfectly, and gently.
